KCB Bank, in partnership with RUBiS Energy Kenya and the Kenya Tourism Board (KTB), has unveiled the Kenya Beyond Sight campaign to promote accessible tourism and encourage Kenyans to explore destinations beyond conventional travel experiences.
The five-day journey will take six content creators, J-Supercharge, Denno Music, Sammy Brayo, Nancy Cosy, Chelah Richards and Delvin Obara, through Kenya’s Eastern and Coastal regions, highlighting unique destinations, cultures and travel experiences while challenging perceptions about disability.
The campaign aims to shift destination storytelling from a predominantly visual experience towards a multisensory approach, using the creators’ perspectives to showcase how tourism can become more inclusive and accessible.
Speaking during the launch, KCB Group Director, Marketing & Communication, Rosalind Gichuru said, “Kenya Beyond Sight is a practical expression of what our brand purpose For People. For Better means. Through it, we are showcasing the best of Kenya, encouraging a more inclusive way of experiencing Kenya and challenging ourselves to think differently about how the tourism sector can further be amplified.”
The creators will document their experiences through social media and media engagements, highlighting both the opportunities and practical challenges associated with travelling with disabilities.
KCB will support the journey through its Debit and Prepaid Cards, enabling the creators to make cashless payments for accommodation, transport, dining and attraction entry fees.
RUBiS Energy Kenya will provide fuel for the trip and Enjoy Shop vouchers for snacks, refreshments and other essentials through its network of service stations along the route.
KTB has supported the planning of the itinerary, including coordination with the Kenya Wildlife Service to secure complimentary access to Malindi Marine National Park. The tourism board also connected the team with Accessible Travel Kenya, which designed the itinerary around the group’s accessibility needs and will provide transport to the Coast.
The creators will also receive complimentary access to Haller Park, courtesy of Bamburi Cement.
“As the Kenya Tourism Board, we believe that our destination must be accessible, welcoming and enjoyable to all visitors. Kenya’s tourism story is one of extraordinary landscapes, diverse cultures, warm hospitality and unforgettable experiences. That story must include every person, regardless of age or ability.” Noted KTB CEO June Chepkemei
“This campaign gives us an opportunity not only to showcase the attractions of the Kenyan coast, but also to encourage the tourism industry to think more deeply about accessibility. It challenges accommodation providers, attractions, transport operators, tour companies and other stakeholders to ask an important question: How can we make it easier for every visitor to explore, participate and feel welcome?” She added.
The campaign comes as Kenya’s tourism sector continues to contribute to economic activity and employment. According to the World Travel & Tourism Council’s 2026 Economic Impact Research, the sector contributed US$12.7 billion to Kenya’s economy in 2025, equivalent to 9.3% of national GDP, while supporting 1.8 million jobs.
Through the initiative, the partners seek to demonstrate how collaboration across the tourism ecosystem can help expand access to travel experiences and support more inclusive participation in the sector.
